What does it really mean to give to God and why does our giving matter? In this sermon from Hebrews 7:1–10, we look at Abraham’s tithe to Melchizedek and how it ultimately points us to Jesus Christ. If Abraham gave generously to one who foreshadowed Christ, how much more worthy is Christ of all we have?

This message explores why believers struggle to give, the spiritual benefits of generous giving, and how followers of Jesus are called to give willingly, faithfully, and joyfully as an act of worship. Far from being about money alone, this sermon reminds us that Christian giving flows from gratitude for the gospel and trust in God’s provision.
